Tommy Becker Larsen is a contemporary wood sculptor based in Sweden. Working primarly in native hardwoods, he creates organic sculptures that balance movement, stillness and material honesty.
Each sculpture evolves through an intuitive process. Rather than deciding the finish in advance, Becker Larsen allows the completed form to guide the final surface, wheter natural, patinated or subtly pigmented.
His ambition is to create quiet works that invite people to slow down and live with them over time.
His journey into art began after years of addiction, when working with wood became a way to rebuild his life. What started as a personal search for a purpose became an professional artistic practice.
